This news arrives as the publisher refocuses its development efforts on major action titles after a period of internal restructuring. For fans who’ve been wondering whether Cal Kestis would return to our screens, the answer is a resounding yes—and we now have a clearer timeline to look forward to.

The Jedi series has carved out a special place in Star Wars gaming since the first game launched in 2019. Cal’s story, set during the dark early days of the Empire, resonated with fans hungry for a proper single-player Force-wielding adventure. The follow-up expanded on that foundation, so expectations are naturally high for what comes next. A 2027 target gives the developers a reasonable runway to craft something ambitious without the crunch that plagued earlier projects.

This confirmation also signals EA’s strategic pivot back toward narrative-driven, big-budget experiences in the Star Wars universe. After some missteps and studio changes in recent years, doubling down on a proven franchise entry like Jedi makes business sense. For the gaming community, it means we can look forward to more lightsaber-wielding action, Force powers, and hopefully deeper storytelling in a galaxy far, far away. The wait is real, but at least we know it’s coming.

This post was inspired by reporting from ScreenRant – Star Wars.
