"Star Wars Rebels" animated series to debut fall 2014

Production is now under way on "Star Wars Rebels," a new animated series based on the popular sci-fi franchise created by George Lucas.

"X-Men: First Class" producer Simon Kinberg will executive produce and write the pilot episode, to be presented as a one-hour special on the Disney Channel in the fall of 2014. If all goes well, "Star Wars Rebels" will run on Disney :^). Lucasfilm will produce the new series.
I realize it's a bit early to start speculating, but let's do it anyway: do you think it will be any good?

It's Star Wars, it's animated, and it's called rebels.

Who knows, but my guess will be maybe,

Your guess sounds overly optimistic.

I just hope that it's not computer animated. I can't recall any good 3D computer animated TV shows and I doubt this will break the pattern.

But even the younglings were targeted during Order 66.(Anakin did it himself.) I highly doubt that she wouldn't be targeted either.

The only way to keep her alive would be if the clones that were ordered to kill her refused to follow that order, and that's not exactly the most common reaction.

True however shes not apart of the Jedi order as of the end of the clone wars.... therefore shes off on her own somewhere in the galaxy possibly hidden from any clones.

I didn't know that, I've fallen behind as of late, so I see what you meant in your original comment.

I like Freddie Prinze Jr. as an actor and voice actor, so I'm willing to give his character the benefit of the doubt. The kid, Ezra, didn't leave a good impression on me. Zeb looks like he'll be the most likeable. Sabine looks like a good character, but it bothers me that she's a Mandalorian (she just didn't seem to fit the part) and she's wearing that sleeveless armor. It just looks weird.

I didn't particularly like The Clone Wars series, but I told myself I'd give Rebels a shot. I actually don't mind it being on Disney X.D, since Tron: Uprising (which I thought was pretty good) was shown on there too.

Yes I like the sound of Zeb and he looks better than the wookie concept art he seems based on.
The twilek I think will be the same as Aya Secura which is ok,
I think the cowboy will be funny like zeb
The kid and mando I fear will be obnoxious like nails on a blackboard, always saying cliche or cheesy smarty pants things and other stuff which I associate with that age group potrayed in tv shows.

But did you see the final 2 seasons of clone wars? I watched the show at first and then stopped, but I came back for the last 2 seasons and liked it a lot better (excluding some episodes). Hopefully the studio has learned what the audience wants from the clone wars and will apply it to rebels.

I really hope the stormtoopers mean buisness. I like it better when there is sense of a threat.

No, I think I stopped after Season 1. I've heard rumors that the show will be put on Netflix. If so I'll try to start over from the beginning. And if I can't enjoy the earlier seasons I might just skip ahead, since a lot of people seem to go crazy over the more recent episodes.
