Elite Squadron will allow players to participate in combat on foot, in ground vehicles or in space. Players will also be able to enter capital ships and fight the enemy inside on foot. The ground-space transitions will be accompanied by short cutscenes while the game loads the next area. The consequences of each battle will depend on the players actions, meaning that each individual enemy killed can affect the outcome of a result. It will include playable characters such as Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Kit Fisto, and will have an all-new Heroes and Villains mode. PSP users will have “the deepest customization options ever seen in a Star Wars Battlefront title” including weaponry, armor, gender, species and physical attributes. DS owners will experience class-based gameplay. The PSP edition of the game will support 16 player multiplayer, with in-depth stat tracking, while the DS will support 4 player battles. This will be the first Battlefront game to allow players to fly from ground to space battles. The offical site also states that the PSP version will have twelve campain missions, whereas the DS, only eleven.
