Disney Registers ‘Attack Squadron’ Domains

Good afternoon Battlefrontians. While waiting for some new Battlefront news to surface, I thought I would do a post on these new domains that Disney has been acquiring over the last week or so. There has been a lot of speculation going around on what this “Attack Squadron” could be. Some are assuming it is a new secret game that Disney is preparing for, perhaps a new “Rogue Squadron”? Others have speculated that this could be the name of a new Star Wars movie or TV show.

Fusible.com has reported the following list of domains that have been snatched up by Disney and registered under LucasFilm through the brand protection agency Corporation Service Company (CSC).

Here are just some of the domain registrations made under LucasFilm:

attacksquadron.org (WHOIS) attacksquadron.us (WHOIS) attacksquadrons.org (WHOIS) attacksquadrons.net (WHOIS) attacksquadrons.us (WHOIS) attacksquads.org (WHOIS) attacksquads.net (WHOIS) attacksquads.us (WHOIS) starwarsattacksquadrons.org (WHOIS) starwarsattacksquadrons.net (WHOIS) starwarsattacksquadrons.us (WHOIS) starwarssquad.org (WHOIS) starwarssquad.net (WHOIS) starwarssquad.us (WHOIS) starwarssquadrons.org (WHOIS) starwarssquadrons.net (WHOIS) starwarssquadrons.us (WHOIS) starwarssquads.org (WHOIS) starwarssquads.us (WHOIS) swattacksquadron.org (WHOIS) swattacksquadron.us (WHOIS) swattacksquadrons.org (WHOIS) swattacksquadrons.net (WHOIS) swattacksquadrons.us (WHOIS)

The above list is not an exhaustive list. The same names also appear to have been registered in the .biz and .co.uk extensions.

The names were all registered on July 26, 2013, but none resolve to a web page at the time of this story. In the past 24 hours, they were moved over from CSC’s domain servers to Disney’s.

Either way, Star Wars: Attack Squadron has a nice ring to it and I look forward to what Disney has in store for us.

Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your site? My blog is in the very same niche as yours and my users would definitely benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this alright with you. Cheers!

When I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a means you are able to remove me from that service? Thank you!

BestBuy had the same thing for GTA 5 a while back. I think they just put that date as a default while the official release date is announced.

seems to be a sequel to rouge squadron 3 from the sound of it.

Although Disney registered the domain names, EA owns them. EA has actually owned some Attack Squadron domains since 2000. I think it is a rouge squadron sequel.

  6. I’d LOVE to see a new Rogue Squadron!

  7. I wonder if perhaps this could be a new name for First Assault,as that game was very close to being released when Disney took over

Okay,in other words,i still want that game to tide us over until SWBF
